Four UCL academics receive a Stone Centre grant
Congratulations, and welcome!
The Stone Centre at UCL has awarded internal research support grants to four academics from the UCL Department of Economics:
- Pedro Carneiro for Long term impacts of childhood exposure to domestic violence on mental health and crime
- Jonas Hjort for Ethnic discrimination in the State: experimental evidence from Peru
- Marta Morazzoni for Gender differences in savings over the life cycle: the role of financial literacy
- Gabriel Ulyssea for Slums: stepping stones or poverty traps?
The internal research support grant scheme allows academic members of staff from the UCL Department of Economics to apply for a grant worth up to £25,000 to support new projects to further the Centre's mission.
The scheme has run since the 2022/2023 academic and has enabled the Stone Centre to leverage the research powerhouse of the UCL Department of Economics to advance the Centre's research agenda on the causes and consequences of wealth concentration and inequality.
Congratulations to Pedro, Jonas, Marta and Gabriel, and welcome to the Stone Centre at UCL!
